Korean syllables can end in M, N or NG, and each ending is a different word: 밤 (night), 반 (half), 방 (room).

Two vowels that sound alike to many learners: 어 is open with relaxed lips, 오 is rounded. 벌 (bee) and 볼 (cheek) depend on it.

During normal practice, audio is analyzed on your device and recordings stay there. If you sign in, your scores, error history and practice progress sync across your devices. Questions about Korean pronunciation

What are plain, tense and aspirated consonants?

Korean has three versions of several consonants: plain (relaxed), tense (tight, no breath) and aspirated (a strong puff of air). 달, 딸 and 탈 differ only in that.

How accurate is the feedback for Korean?

Korean is in early access. You get the full practice and the same word-by-word marks; the scores are still being tuned for Korean, so treat them as a guide — the app labels them that way too.

Do I need to read Hangul?
